This is an example of an interface written in Visual Basic. This is the main control screen for a system that uses a DataLogic scanner to scan the barcode of perishable food products passing by on a conveyor.
The barcode is read and then a database is searched to find the number of days for which the product is good.
Then a "Use Before m/d/yyyy" message is created and sent to a Lumonics Xymark Laser Marking System. The system was designed to be operated remotely from an office area to minimize the number of devices in the washdown area.
This is the database management screen. Any new product are added here to include in the search.
