This is the main control screen for a 7 axis machine. This project was done in cooperation
with a local engineering firm. The control system had a Mitsubishi PLC doing
all of the logic control, and a PMAC-2 doing all of the motion control. The
PMAC was in the PC bus, but all motion was initiated and monitored by the PLC.
The VB program did not have to be running for the machine to operate. The
machine had 4 electric servos, 3 hydraulic servos, and 3 glass scales for monitoring
the process. Most discreet motion was controlled by hydraulic valves and cylinders.
All devices on the machine were controlled by remote I/O.
